The Site’s Limited Role

Jasper County Released Inmates is an independent reference site. It does not act for the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, Jasper County Detention Center, Joplin City Jail, Missouri Department of Corrections, a court, a parole office, or any federal or immigration agency. No official custody or court records are stored here. The site cannot confirm a person’s present status, authorize or carry out a release, change a record, submit a legal filing, or speak for a public office.

Its content points visitors toward official custody and release resources, public records available under the Missouri Sunshine Law in Chapter 610, and third-party research tools. Links and general explanations are supplied for reference. A visitor remains responsible for contacting the record’s originating agency and deciding whether information is suitable for a lawful, permitted purpose.

Standards for Acceptable Use

Use of the site must be lawful, respectful, and consistent with these conditions. Attempts to misuse information, damage the service, or interfere with another visitor are prohibited.

• Do not violate any federal, Missouri, or local law while accessing the site.
• Do not use information to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person.
• Do not rely on site content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated eligibility decision.
• Do not seek access to accounts, servers, files, or systems without authorization.
• Do not use bots, crawlers, scrapers, or other automated means to extract or copy site content.
• Do not impair site operation or prevent others from using its resources.

No Consumer Reports

Jasper County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare or provide background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. By using these resources, you agree that the information will not be sought, obtained, or used for any decision governed by the FCRA.

• Decisions about hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment matters
• Tenant selection, leases, housing access, or occupancy decisions
• Creditworthiness, lending terms, or insurance rates and coverage
• Licensing, permits, or eligibility for a government benefit or program
• Any other purpose controlled by the FCRA or similar consumer-reporting law

Resources Operated by Others

Links may lead to sheriff and corrections sites, release and court records, government portals, legal-aid resources, or outside search providers. Those destinations are operated by other organizations. A link does not mean that Jasper County Released Inmates controls, approves, or endorses the destination, its content, or its services. The site is not responsible for an outside provider’s accuracy, availability, security, data practices, fees, or later changes. Review the terms and privacy practices displayed by each outside service before using it.

Service Provided As Is

The site and all content are offered “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. To the fullest extent allowed by law, no promise is made about any of the following:

• The accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or continued availability of information
• Continuous, prompt, or interruption-free access to the site
• The absence of errors, software defects, harmful code, or security weaknesses
• The range, quality, or completeness of results supplied by an outside search partner

Custody status, court dockets, supervision, and public-record access can change without notice. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, a jail, the Missouri Department of Corrections, a court, or another government agency. Verify material with the office that created or maintains the underlying record.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jasper County Released Inmates and its owners, operators, contributors, and partners will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages tied to access, inability to access, reliance on content, outside links, search results, data loss, or any other use of the site. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory asserted and even if the possibility of damage was known.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jasper County Released Inmates, along with its owners, operators, contributors, and partners, from claims, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the site, your violation of these Terms & Conditions, or your infringement of another person’s rights. Covered expenses include reasonable legal fees and costs incurred in responding to such a claim.

Ownership of Site Materials

Site text, original graphics, logos, page design, and code belong to Jasper County Released Inmates or the applicable content partner and are protected by intellectual-property law. Public records linked from an agency remain subject to the rights and rules that apply at their source. Unless written permission is granted, visitors may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, modify, or create derivative works from protected site material.

Revisions to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be revised at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on the site, unless the posted text states a later date. Visitors should review the current version before continued use. Accessing or using the site after a revision takes effect signifies acceptance of the updated terms.

Suspension or Loss of Access

Access to all or part of the site may be restricted, suspended, or terminated at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice. This authority includes action taken to protect the service, enforce these terms, address suspected misuse, or respond to operational needs. Ending access does not limit any right or remedy that already arose from an earlier violation.

Missouri Law Controls

These terms and any dispute connected with the site are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal proceeding must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction located within Missouri. Use of the site does not create a relationship with Jasper County government or change the authority of any public-record custodian under Missouri law.

Terms That Remain Enforceable

If a court with proper authority finds one provision invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only to the minimum degree needed to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its intended purpose as closely as the law permits.
